Obama II

Well, the first paragraph of my January 7 blog entry was correct--just was a little early, meant to say it was correct for South Carolina. I just don't think the nation is ready for Billary II. Paraphrasing something I read attributed to The Nation, the Clintons are high minded on the surface but smarmy underneath. It is too bad because each of Bill and Hillary have extraordinary gifts and talents. But they each have inner demons that they apparently cannot control (especially Bill).

How does a McCain/Obama race in o8 stack up?

I think McCain is the toughest Republican for any Democrat to run against. He has the illusion for many of being "middle of the road", although he is actually anything but.

Most unfortunate that Bill C. is tarnishing his post-presidency status with his rhetoric on behalf of his wife's candidacy. He was quite a valuable weapon in her arsenal before he got "down and dirty". I think his mere presence on the campaign trail, with no mud-slinging at all, would have been more effective for her.

Are there a couple of good you tube snippets we could use to make a decision in your new poll? Thanks!

I agree with Barb in that Bill's presence on the campaign trail, just being genial and friendly would have had a much more favorable impact on Hillary's campaign. He has really turned off a lot of people who were predisposed in his favor. I am surprised that he could not figure that out for himself. Maybe he has a blind spot as to how he is being viewed. It is going to be a very interesting few months, isn't it?
